This project documents Apple's corporate buildings across the Santa Clara Valley.
I have worked in this area for over a decade, and living in Cupertino, these buildings have been part of my daily environment — seen on the commute, passed in the course of everyday life. I had assumed a reasonable familiarity with the area, but the actual number of offices turned out to be well beyond what I had imagined, and this realization set the project in motion.
The project began as a record of signage alone. Visiting the buildings in person drew my attention to the character and variety of each location, and the scope gradually expanded to pair the signs with the buildings themselves, forming a record of the offices as they exist across the valley. The final structure consists of three photographs per building: the overall exterior, the entrance facade, and the monument sign. The project is limited to buildings with a visible monument sign.
Shooting began in 2023 and continues to the present.
