Project Statement

This photography project documents Apple's corporate buildings in the Santa Clara Valley area.

Initially, the project was modest in scope — limited to photographing the signage of buildings I had personally visited for work. Over time, however, researching locations revealed that even after more than a decade at the company, there were many buildings I had never encountered. Curiosity drew me to seek them out, and upon discovering that photography was permitted under company policy, the project evolved into something more deliberate and systematic.

Each building is documented as a set of three images: the overall exterior, the entrance facade, and the monument sign. While the varying sizes of the properties make it difficult to establish a unified compositional approach for the exterior shots, both the entrance and sign photographs are taken from a strictly frontal perspective. This consistency is intentional — when viewed as a grid, the series conveys a sense of continuity and allows the relative scale of each building to register clearly. Since the project originated from an interest in signage, it currently focuses exclusively on buildings that feature a monument sign.

Shooting began in 2023 and continues to the present.
